GW4 series outdoor high-voltage AC disconnectors are outdoor high-voltage electrical equipment with an AC frequency of 50 Hz. The rated voltage levels are 12 kV, 17.5 kV, 40.5 kV and 126 kV. They are used to open and close high-voltage lines under voltage and no load and to electrically isolate electrical equipment such as high-voltage busbars and circuit breakers under maintenance from energized high-voltage lines. They can also be used to open and close small capacitive or inductive currents.
